Attachment of earnings……. a low cost alternative to committal proceedings?
The recent increase in magistrate’s court fees could leave a billing authority facing a shortfall of up to £210 for each committal application, and that is on the basis that the remainder can be collected from the debtor!
The knock on effect will be
• An inevitable increase in council tax for timely payers
• More debts written off as uneconomical to pursue
• A reduction in collection rates
One solution is to source reliable “employment status“ reports and apply for attachment of earnings.
Following much research Tenon Group have teamed up with traceadebt.com who have offered to deliver tailored local authority “employment status” reports at a discounted rate of £30 plus VAT on a no find, no fee basis*.
These reports are not solely data reliant and utilise manual investigation agents. Positive traces are therefore greater than you may have previously experienced. Typically:
Name and Address provided 30%-35%
Add telephone number 45%-50%
Add N.I number 60% plus
As a natural by product traceadebt will also attempt to source telephone numbers for any instructions that are not current on a FOC basis, therefore cleansing your data.
To take advantage of this new initiative:
Instructions
Go to “submit work” and complete the details. For multiple instructions you may upload your files in excel or CSV format.
This process will only take a few minutes to complete. After your first instruction you will be sent a client code for future submissions
